I just bought an interface cableon ebay for pac/rt on x9000
part # is nkn6371a-sp01
manual that came with cable sayes it has been modified for use with a C.V.C.
port in/out[pin15] and gnd[pin22]are all that are used in control cable from pac
can anyone tell me what a c.v.c. is
also if anyone wants a copy of scematics i would be glad to send them

I assume the CVC control relates to a convert-a-com. Taking the portable radio out of the convert-a-com will activate the PAC/RT.

Yep, the CVC would go to the convertacom or mobile charger with Pac-RT control.
I think i had a schematic of this cable at one time, i will have to dig and see if i still do.

thanks for the help
i will not be using convertacom just an on off switch and will probably rewire the cable back to standard

I already tried to tell him that, but, NOOOO!, he wouldn't listen to me........
As for him rewiring the cable to standard configuration, I doubt that. I'll wind up doing it for him (not that I mind).

He said it might be convertacom but unsure
And I will see him tomorrow and shall rewire him

KI4CYE sure does make some brave claims, doesn't he? I haven't been rewired yet, and I did, as I said I would, rewire his PAC/RT cable for him. He had best be civil, or I'll reprogram his X9000 and hold the real codeplug hostage!

These could be made into a pretty nifty X9000 programming cable if someone switched a few pins around...
