DOS based or low-end Windows-based machines

Hey Guys,

I recently came acrossed a source of old PC's: 386's, 486, Pentium I's, etc... Mostly desktops & mini towers, although there were a few laptops.

Is there any market out there, for those folks in-need of a slower machine for programming older /\/\ radios? I remember some folks looking for &/or asking for older machines, and I'm sure I could pick them up for pocket change. If there is indeed enough demand, I think a few machines would find a new home, without much effort.

As always the harddrives would be re-formated with only an OS, and no software apps or programs would be included beyond the OS.

Just curious.

how low and slow can you go? (oooh, catchy) I need an EARLY 386 (although a 286 would work better) for a particualrly picky spectra set...

I'll have to due an inventory, of the small mountain of computers, to see which is the lowest speed processor. At work we've got a 386 - 33 MHz machine, which works perfect for programming our (railroad) spectras, but that's a totally different RSS, so there may not be any comparing the two packages.

At any rate, I'll try to go through them this week, & over the weekend, and get back with the results next week. I'm in the process of moving, so there are needless complications (as always).
