Batboard

I'm trying to program a Maxtrac 300 16 channel. I have older "legal" MRSS software (R05.10.00) and a Motorola RLN4008B box. I also have an old IBM Thinkpad DOS computer. I have used the system before without any problems. When I try to read the codeplug I get this error. My com port seems to be working fine because I can access the alignment screen, but when reading the codeplug it timelimes to "64", but then gives me the error.
