Hello,
I am interested in purchasing a HT1000 that will do UHF. I need coverage from 403 - 470mhz. I found one on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0011535263

My main concern with that one is that it says the band coverage is 403 - 470, but the model number conflicts with that (using the model decoding chart on here). Does anyone know if that radio will work on 403 - 470mhz?

Range "R" is 403 to 470. Where is the chart that says otherwise?

Skip the .gif link on top! and stick with the http://www.batlabs.com/visar.html#5
K=136-174Mhz R=403-470Mhz S=450-512Mhz ect...

unless the codeplug was played with and your 10 Mhz short or long..
advertising a bandsplit off "the bay of E" I've seen them not as what there supposed to be. its a crap shoot, but most of the time the bandsplit is a match as above.. some "S" units would come out as 450-500Mhz.
thats not a big deal. just as long as you get a bandsplit that covers ther area you want.... good luck
