Ok here is what I am running: A motorola MW800 computer and two astro spectra W4 radios, one uhf and one vhf. I have setup VRCH to control both radios. I have followed the button mapping in the VRCH manual. I have done this before with A9 and W9 models and never had an issue. I have VRCH setup for use with W4 heads and the buttons all mapped into VRCH :some buttons work, some don't at all, some do functions they shouldn't be assigned to, etc. For instance the channel up/down, volume up/down I get error beeps from the radio.

Has anyone tried using this with W4 heads before?

Would anyone with a W4 radio be willing to try VRCH with it for me and see if they have the same problem?

I suspect your problems stem from the fact the W4 uses rotary controls for the volume & channel selector, as opposed to buttons. But, I never used the VRCH, so I could be completely wrong.

Its designed for each individual control head so yes it should work, the fact it has rotary knobs has nothing to do with it.

Well I switch both radios to W7 heads (hardware and software wise) and tried vRCH with it. They both work fine. ALL buttons function as they should.

Anyone wanna trade a great condition W4 head for a W7 head?

You used to be able to download the VRCH.
I had a copy but that was pre Astro.
Is there a part number for the software and the manual or is it still downloadable somewhere?
I wonder if it run on my ML-900 and XTL5000 radio?

Its not made anymore. MCS2000, Spectra, Astro Spectra and Tetra are the only supported radios.
