I am looking to program some pagers I got my hands on to play around with. I have a few advisor II models, among some others. I can list the others when I get home. What I am looking for is some sort of short instructions for programming, what I will need, etc. Thanks in advance.

I saw a post here that states the LS pagers can be done via infrared. How would I go about that, as I do have one or more LS model here.

LS pagers require different software and an infrared serial adapter. None of the part numbers show as still available.
The programming package was NYN1595 (LS Series) which included software and IR adapater. The manual lists acceptable IR serial adapters as ACTiSYS ACT-IR220, Extended Systems JetEye PC ESI-9680A or ESI-9680B, and Parallax Research LiteLink PRA950A or B.
Latest software Ver R04.02.00. Pager needs to be put into programming mode. From standby press circle button two times until "GO>FOLDER" displays, press oval six time until "CONNECT" displays, press checkmark and you'll see alternating pattern of ] [ and [ ]. Of course this is all useless without the software. Not sure if it's available for download from Motorola or not. Probably a dead animal to them.

Any chance the IR port on a laptop or a usb IR device would work for the LS series?

I never had the need to try either. I may have an LS350 on the in rack I can try. Maybe someone else out there has the answer.
