Working on dual radio Astro Spectra

Post by jmr061 »

I am working on seeing if its possible to get a dual radio setup (single w7 head with two radios) to work with TX on BOTH radios.

What I am looking for is a dos codeplug or s-rec (pulled from dos or cps radio) from a secondary radio in a dual setup with full TX on both radios. This would probably be from the dual radio SIU HHCH setup, though I have heard there is a W3 setup that works like this as well (only heard the rumor).

Im sorting the data to see if I can find out how it disables the TX on the 2nd radio and make it so it will TX.

Thanks

What radios do you own?: Radar Range

PJ and I looked at the schematics/pinouts of the dual radio cable for the astro. They seem disable the Tx on the second radio simply by not hook the PTT and Audio leads on the second radio. PJ might know better than I though.
