I came across a 'lot' of mts 2000 units, both vhf and uhf, models I, II, III. It appears that in order to 'clean' the units, a single CP was written to all units regardless of band or model. The CP was a vhf, model I I believe.
Some of the units powered-on, some did not. One model II did power-on, with the LCD showing 'black'. I was able to check only a few.
What would be the overall probability of reviving these units, particularly the units units which fail power-on ?
mts2000, implications of cramming a vhf CP into a uhf unit

- What radios do you own?: XTS2500, XTS5000, and MTS2000
if some moron used LAB/DEPOT and they've been TOOLPROOFED, their hosed and only the depot can revive them. Further screwing with them with LAB/DEPOT won't do anything good or productive.
