Secure Enabled, not allowing radio lock

Post by MotoRadioUser »

looking through some literature and was noticing the if you enable "secure equipment" you cannot enable "radio lock" this doesn't make sense. if you're a department that uses secure encryption, and have the option of locking the radios wouldnt you want to? why would motorola not allow "secure" radios to be locked at the users discretion? you guys seem to know what you are talking about and I appreciate you helping a new guy out.

What radios do you own?: X9000 thru APX

What radio? I believe I was able to lock my AS3 that was secure equipped/enabled. If you didn't get the code right within x tries, I know it dumped the secure key.

I gave up on radio lock years ago as it was too annoying to enter it every time I turned it on..
