Does anyone know how to delete a PERSONALITY from the code plug file, I want to delete most of what is in the radio and just leave a few

Does the personality you refer to happen to be trunking or a conventional one?

Those functions should be very simple in the CPS. Deleting a trunked system out of the radio should be possible without any grief, just once its gone thats it. CPS should warn you though. You probably wont be able to rid the radio totally of trunking systems and personalities, but you should be able to build a codeplug that does not have any visible in your zone/channel list, unlike the older GTX radios where you had to have at least one in the list.

Deleting a zone, you may have to right click then select delete. Ive noticed the 8250/9250 CPS is not the most friendly.

Thanks I think I got it, Everything in the radio is 900meg ham stuff from the west coast.
I want to keep some of it but get rid of two of the zones and all the stuff in it .
I think if I change all the channels to trunked in each zone I can then delete them and then the channel info and then the zones.

I know what you mean CPS is not friendly, but was easy to hex edit to open up for the ham band
