Batboard

My GP300 has no power up alert tone or tone when a receive only channel PTT switch is pushed. The red LED lights when transmitting, green while scanning and the radio seems to work fine otherwise. I also tried a battery eliminator as well as the battery. I haven't reprogrammed this radio recently either. Is there any RSS setting for the self test of the microcomputer check or tone option when on a receive only when the PTT button is pushed? Any other suggestions? Thanks...

May be the Alert Tones are disabled in the RSS programming on that GP300.

In the Change/View:Radio Wide screen. Alert Tones All ON or All Off.....

Thanks Will....that's exactly what it was. I haven't used or programmed this radio in so long, I guess they were never enabled. Tones are working again....
