HELP! GM300 16 CH I/O Acc
Posted: Fri Sep 01, 2006 9:48 pm
Hi ,
I have a Motorola Scada system with out staions still using GM300 16 Ch radios, I want to start to change these for CM140 or CM340's
The problem is the acc ports are programmed as follows, and it seems the newer Motorola radios can't be set up the same.
Existing acc pin configurartion
Pin 2 = PTT
Pin 4 = NULL 2 output Low (doesnt seem to be connected to scada unit)
Pin 5 = Flat Tx audio
Pin 6 = NULL 1 Input Low (doesnt seem to be connected to scada unit)
Pin 7 linked to Pin 9
Pin 8 = CSQ Detect Output High
Pin 9 = NULL 1 Input Low ALSO Linked to Pin 7
Pin 10 = Not used
Pin 11 = Discriminator
Pin 12 = NULL 1 Input Low (doesnt seem to be connected to scada unit)
Pin 13 = Not used
Pin 14 = NULL 2 Output High (connected to scada unit)
Pin 15 = not used
Pin 16 = not used
If I program a GM300 with the above configuration the systems works 100 %, the radio acc port is set up "general i/o"
It seems that only Pins 9 and 14 i/o are connected to the scada modem.
I want to install CM140's or CM340's but dont know what to program the acc port, as there are NO options for NULL 1 or NULL 2 in the software.
The scada unit is located in a very rugged area about 3 Hrs drive from me.
Please, any of you experts help!
Many thanks
Martin
