Standard Charger vs Amp Charger

Can anyone tell me if there is a different charging rate between the Standard Charger and the Amp Charger? Seems like when I use the amp charger I get longer life out of the batteries then when it is charged with the standard charger. Just trying to confirm my therory before I purchase another charger for work.
