Hi-

I am not sure if this is possible, however I am looking for anyone expertise. I have a mcs2000 in my car. I also have a ht1250. the problem is that the 1250 never hits the repeater because we have dead spots, however the mcs always hits it. I know I can combine two cdm1250s to create a mobile repeater my ht can hit however I am wondering how to do this with the mcs2000? Can I hook a cdm1250 to it and recive on the cdm and have it put out by the mcs? Anyone have any idead I am on a UHF 460s. Any comments would be great! thanks

you may want to look into getting a PAC-RT vehicular repeater system and wire that up. It'll use far less power than a high power repeater, and will work great for short-range portable-to-vehicle (then vehicle to repeater) operations.

I use one, connected to a CDM1250, and it's probably the best investment I've ever made.

Of course, the PAC unit you get cannot be on the same band as your mobile, therefore you'd also need a different HT for use with the PAC unit (since you use UHF, you would want to look into a VHF PAC/VRS unit and also get a VHF portable configured like the vehicular repeater).

I wish I could do this, I did look into it excpet we were looking to try it out on my car and use it for 3 ambulances and we have about 60 ht1250s all uhf, kinda stinks, they shoulda thought of this before....
