MCS-2000

Post by Gocart878 »

Hello, i have an Mcs-2000 mobile radio model 1 with speaker etc all in one unit. this vehicle is hooked up to our ambulance. usually when we turn the ambulance on the radio stays on the last channel it was on which should always be channel 6. but now when you turn it on, it defaults to channel 1. regardless if you change it to 6 again, it will flop back to 1 the next time its turned on. any ideas before i need to call for service?

That will only make channel 6 the "home" channel for pressing the "home" button. It does not affect power-up channel.

It sounds like the radio's main power wiring is going to the master on/off in the ambulance. It should be run to constant power, with Pin 15 of the accessory connector run to the switch. The radio will also need it's ignition sense option programmed to "soft power off" in the RSS/CPS.
