Hi all,
I just bought a new 2006 Toyota 4 Runner. Has anyone done any radio/lights siren installs in one of these? Would you have pics and tips you care to share?
Thanks,
Kevin

Hey,
I wish you luck on your search.... the only place that i know where they use TOYOTAS for public service is LAPD... they had a runner that was decked out pretty nice.. nice LEDS and Moto gear(i think it was)the unit was used for the beach.. most of the time i have seen the norm, chevys, fords, and some jeeps.... too bad too.... TOYO has a lot to offer...

Hey Gig,
I saw a picture of that rig from LAPD but not sure how they did things. I took my 4 runner to a emergency lighting dealer and right now I will have him install a remote mount siren, 2 TIR 6 on the rear door, and two Sho Me LED's that I had on my other vehicle on the front grill.
I also have a mini Ultra Edge Freedom bar that Iwill wait a bit to have installed and some radio gear. I am paying to have the dealer do it because they know what they are doing and will do a professional job.
You are on LI? where abouts? I used to live in Hicksville and Islip Terrace
Stay safe,
Kevin

I did not do it myself. I had it done professionally here in NH. he also mounted my amateur radio and I have two antennas on the roof. I will try to get some better pics.

No sunroof. If you look at the pics closely you can see the antennas. I like the 4 Runner except for the center console. I really wish the shifter was steering colum mounted. Can't put all the radios I want in it.

Could we get some pics of the radios and light controls on the inside?
That would be cool.
Looks great, I like the mini lightbar on that car it looks really cool, I personally would have mounted lights in the back window instead of on the back of the car, but everyone has their own opinion.
Thanks for posting the pix

I thought about posting the TIR 6's inside but I had inside lights on my Jeep Liberty and everyone kept banging their head if they went in to get something from the rear.
