hello,
i have a w5 uhf astro spectra that shows error 08/10 on power up.
basically it will power up, show error 08/10 and freeze
the radio will also occasionally flash error 01/90 though im working on that part.
what is error 08/10 and how do i get rid of it?
any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks

You forgot to hook up your siren, or.................. uncheck the box that it has a siren plugged into the unit.

Something else that I encountered as well... If you have the siren hooked up, get that error and occasionally get the FL 01/90 take a look at the interconnect on the face of the radio. My interconnect was going bad and did exactly what you say yours is doing. I had a siren hooked to mine as well.

ok that makes sense. the radio came out of some police dept. in florida so i just got it as is. i'll try swapping out the board with a different one to see if that fixes the fail 01/90 problem as well.
thanks for the help!
now im off to look for an astro spectra interconnect.

A regular old HLN6285 will work if you're planning on using it as a dashmount.
