Does anyone know if scan lists/functions are programmable via FPP on a Q52 model XTS5000 III VHF, or do you need software to modify any scan functions?
If so, can you also change the scan priority channel?
How about tx power levels (ie 2 watts instead of 5 or 6 watts) via FPP?
Any info. will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Scan lists can be modified from the keypad even without FPP. You can change the list itself, what is priority (unless you're like me and make priority selected mode), etc. You can not change what scan list is assigned to a conventional personality, nor can you change the type of scan.
Power levels can be switched by programming the PWR menu option or using one of the switches. Again, FPP not required.

I can't modify the scan list with an xts2500 flashed for FPP.
All I can do is frequency, analog/digital/mixed mode, PL/DPL, NAC, and bandwidth.

Like tvsjr says, you don't even need to have FPP in the menu. Just make sure you have the PROG in your menu, then hit SCAN, and you can modify the current scan list thats strapped to the personality you're on.
A square will start flashing at the top indicating edit mode. You can either hit SEL to add the personality, or DEL to remove it. Then rotate the channel selector and you can add or del every personality in the zone.
By the way, to get priority, hit SEL until a dot appears next to the Scan icon.
If you have power set to low in the CPS in some of the older radios, it will only allow you to run low power on the radio regardless of what your switch is set to, however i'm not sure if this is the case with the 5000.
