XTS 5000 PTT Sidetone

Is there anyway to program the XTS5000 and XTL5000 to sound a tx tone when it is in APCO-25 mode? What I am looking for is something along the lines of when the MDC-1200 info is sent in analog mode. We have recently converted to digital and cant find the option in the programming software. Thank you

If you enable the secure option the radio will "boop" when you press the PTT in the clear.
The downside is you will get an error tone and message when you start up if the radio is not really secure equipped. Its not the best solution but I have seen it done this way.

Thank you for the info. The new version of firmware will not let you enable any options the radio does not have. When you upload the template it will not accept it and it gives you the list of problems i.e. no encryption module.

I have never seen that before. Is that with the XTL or the XTS?
My XTS5000 with 08.00.10 firmware and CPS R08.00.00 will let me do it.
