AS3 MDC1200 PTT-ID Display

Hello all,
I am having some trouble getting PTT-ID's to display on one of my AS3's personalities. The ID's will flash on the screen for a brief moment when scanning but will not display with scan off.

The system is using MDC1200 for PTT-ID's so I have the personality set for MDC signalling. I also have ID Display and Scan ID Display enabled in the Display & Menu section. Since they are using a trailing ID I have the DOS enabled and the Coast Time set for 0 (even with this set at 0 the radio still ignores my End of Voice timer setting).

I have been racking my brain for a couple days trying to figure this one out and cant figure out what the problem is. I feel confident that it is something simple that I am overlooking. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

The radio is an Astro Saber III Model# H04KDH9PW7AN. Firmware is R05.51.00 DSP is N06.04.11. I am using CPS R02.00.00 to program.

Thanks again

Radio Configuration>Display & Menu> PTT ID

Tick off "ID Display" "Scan ID DIsplay" and then set the End of Voice Timer for something more than 0 or 1 (whatever the default is).

Give that a try.

I had an issue getting my XTS3K to decode MDC so I went into the conventional personalities and enable Call Alert with "and" selected for unmute. It than began decoding the MDC ID's. Than again, it does have the infamous Nick/Chicago flash so go figure. Let us know if it works out.

I have been really busy at work lately and havn't gotten a chance to toy with it futher. I just tried your suggestion with "and" as the unmute rule and it was a no go. But, then I switched it over to "or" and everything cleared right up. I can now see the ID's transmitted when not in scan mode. Batboards to the rescue again! Thanks guys!
