CPS (Astro) Drag/Drop question

I've broken down to using CPS, because I think it will help me with what I need to do. I have a codeplug all set up for an Astro Spectra and I'd like to put the exact same data into my Astro Saber. I understand CPS allows me to drag and drop the codeplug data. My question is, can I do this between Astro Spectra CPS and Astro Saber CPS? And, do I have to drag/drop everything, or is there a "quick copy" button or something similar? Thanks!

You can drag & drop between the Saber & Spectra CPS. If you have the CD, or did the "full install", you can view a tutorial video clip detailing the process. There is no 'quick copy' button, but you can pretty much copy all the information from one radio to another in a matter of seconds, or a minute or so, depending on how much you're moving. You can basically drag & drop any of the "green" fields in the tree view...it'll give you the choice of overwriting, or moving it before or after the current field. Once you become proficient at it, you'll never go back to RSS.
You do need both CPS programs to have any applicable system keys loaded before it'll let you drag & drop trunked info.

I don't believe I installed those files as they take up a crapload of space. Guess it wouldn't have been a bad idea now, eh?
I'm trying everything I can think of to drag/drop between the Spectra and the Saber, but I'm obviously missing something. Sorry to ask for the hand holding, but what is the magic secret?

Okay well I got it dragging and dropping now so that's a start.
Is there a particular order as to what you have to drag first, or does it not matter?

If your doing trunking you want to start with system, then personality, and finish off with channel assignments. Doing scan lists are tricky
especially if the target radio has other stuff programmed into it
already. I have resorted to doing the scan list manually as I could never get it to copy over correctly.

Youoll soon see any errors, like if you copy the scan list before the zone list, there is also a menu that lets you look at the errors

Well as if anyone needed more of a reason to hate CPS (which I'm convinced stands for Compiled Pretty Shoddy). I manged to copy everything over and it didn't complain about anything invalid. However, when I tried to save the codeplug it complained about an invalid field. But, the invalid field tag said nothing! It wasn't until I went through everything that I realized my mistake. The Spectra has 12 DES-XL keys, and the Saber has 4. Well, one of the conventional modes is strapped for encryption on the Spectra - key #12 which the Saber doesn't have. Changing it to a key the saber does have, got rid of the invalid field. You'd think there would be something in the Invalid Field log.
Now a new problem. I dumped it to the saber without any issues. However, I forgot to turn on analog trunking ID display. So, without changing anything else, I enabled this in the CPS. Now when I write the codeplug to the radio, it stops and complains that it cannot load the radio without an advanced system key. What sh!t is that?!
I might just live without the analog trunking ID, everything else works now.
Thanks again to those who helped me get this drag/drop thing working!

I assume you have imported your system keys into the CPS

Yes, I have. I was able to program just fine, but as soon as I enabled analog ID display, it started whining about an advanced system key.
