Astro Spectra COR/COS output....

I've done some searching here on the batboard to locate where I can tap a COR output on the Astro Spectra.

The configuration I think I'm looking for is "active low" or more realistically, voltage drop to 0 when carrier is present.

So far, I've tried the Pin 12, which I think was setup as 'vrs tx', PIN 10, which did nothing, and even tried the 10k resistor to NPN transistor circuit, but that did nothing at all.

I don't know why I can't get the desired operation I need, but perhaps someone can point me in the right direction on how I can get it on the accessory jack, or jury-rig the speaker pins properly for the 'RUS' stuff...

I used a "stick-on" module to operate a relay & strobe on an Astro Spectra using the speaker connection. There was too much audio clutter in the area & had an urgent need to alert the staff that there was traffic on this particular radio.

It'd be easier to be able to make the active high, and active low... I've seen the circuit to do the opposite, and have built that successfully, Now, I have to figure out how to do the opposite.

------Edit----

Oh yeah, just use an PNP transistor...

anyhow, it's done!
