HT1250 Question

Post by rmiles »

Anyone know if the HT1250 VHF lowband was ever offered with the full keypad? The only examples I can find all have the limited keypad.

What radios do you own?: HT1550's, X9000's, CDM1550's

the vhf ht1250 is only offered in one frequency range, 136-174. if you want a low band as in around the 42 mhz range then there are a couple different frequency ranges and they are all offered with full or limited keypad. if you are looking for a used full keypad then you can just get a limited keypad model and swap the housing for a full keypad and just re program the radio and turn the keypad on.

I'm looking for lowband. I was reading the 68P80906Z54-D Basic Service manual. If I'm reading the lowband 29.7-42/35-50 MHz HT Series Model Chart on page 8-10 properly, it only lists the lowband version of the 1250 with a limited keypad. I was hoping that I was missing something. I was unaware that it could be converted to a full keypad model. That's easy to do with the housing. What changes need to be made in CPS for the keypad to function?

all you have to do is get a new full keypad housing and the rubber pad with the buttons and install that then read the radio and enable the keypad function.
