licensing for aviation freqs

Yes, I know this doesn't totally fit under any of the forums here....

I need to help a university hospital license a UNICOM frequency for their helopad operations. This is more for the occasional non-medevac and military aircraft that uses the pad.

Of course, we can get them equipment no problem...But none of us have a good idea who to talk to to get the licensing process started for a VHF-AM aviation freq.

If you can point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it.

I can't imagine anyone you would talk to for this
except the FCC; for the radio license at least. Or
start with a facilitator, such as the Licensing Assistance
Office in Gettysburg, who will act as an intermediary,
do all the paper work, take you money for themselves
and for the FCC fees, etc. etc. One phone call to them
can get all of your questions answered. They have a
website.
