Secure Repeater

Hello all, I'm looking at setting up a secured repeater for myself and my company. I was possibly looking at transparent operation DES-XL, ie: if I change encryption codes I won't have to go to the repeater site as well. I am looking at using a MSF-5000 VHF with a secure card in it.
Are the MSF-5000's capable of transparent only operation?
What are the model numbers of the DES-XL cards/components I would need for it to work?
Is it possible to TX station ID in the clear just by programming the MSF to do so, without the need of an external controller?
Is it possible to operate the repeater in mixed mode? IE: analog/secure
If it's any help the radio's that will be used on the system will be Spectra's, Sabers, and MT2000's with appropriate encryption boards.
Thanks, I'm not used to the encryption part of this I just usually program the radio's.
