gm 300 error 58 wrong radio codeplug

gm 300 error 58 wrong radio codeplug

Motorola gm300 type m33gmc model n. m33gmc20d2aa
this unit powers up, transmit, receive ok audio tx, ok audio rx, but when i read it it says error 58 wrong codeplug ????
I have another similar unit, same moel and that one i can read and program perfectly, so I assume my rss, computer and rib are ok.
Any idea, or someone that can point me in the right way?

With some radios, if you write a codeplug to it with newer software, your older software will not be able to read that codeplug again. This could be your problem. I think there's a R05 version for the GM300, and a previous owner might have used that to write to the radio. If so, your only cure is to obtain that version.

Cloning Codeplug

Load archieve codeplug model M33GMC20DAA,
then clone to the gm300 with error 58.
Try and try again until success.
