I was wondering if anyone knows about how much Motorola would charge to flash an Astro Saber with Digital ID and the latest Host/DSP, or if someone might have a direct number to a Motorola Depot because I never get anywhere when I call 800-422-4210? Thanks

There is alot that needs to be known about the radio before pricing can be given out.
Model #, current host/dsp, vocon size, current flash come to mind.

Basically you're going to need to go to your local MSS or dealer and see if they will send it in to the depot for you. MSS should be able to do it without any problems (and might even be able to do it on-site) and a dealer will have to get approval from /\/\ before sending it in. You might have to prod them along a little bit. Calling the 800 number and asking for customer service should help you in finding authorized providers in your area.
Edit: Firmware refreshes are usually about $75 and the Digital ID flash should cost about the same as the flash cost for a new radio. I don't know how much that is but it's probably been discussed here at some point

I think Digital ID is around $100 in a new radio.
I find it odd the radio would not have come with digital ID but its been known to happen.
Your host/dsp is decent unless your looking for rebanding host (btw you must have mis typed your dsp, it isn't that high yet).
What is the flashcode in your radio?

The flash is 100008-000000-0. I don't have the radio yet but, I just wanted to make sure it wouldn't cost alot to reflash it for rebanding and add Digital Id. I also have an XTS3000 that I need to get the flashed with the latest firmware. Thanks. -Jeff

Contact your Moto salesman. We ordered the Digital ID upgrade and it was $75 per radio. Your prices may vary.
