Hello,

I'm wondering how to enable the discriminator output on the 15-pin connector on the back of my Spectra radio. I've seen numerous posts stating that "several zero-ohm resistors (jumpers) need to be re-arranged in the radio to enable this pin", but I can't seem to find any information regarding what jumpers to move? Any help would be appreciated!

The "detector output" as Motorola calls it, is one of those pins that should be active all the time.

The jumpers aren't well documented. You'd have to look at the schematic of the command board, then the actual board X-ray view, to locate the jumpers. Then you need to pull the command board and verify or move the appropriate jumpers to give you the configuration you want.

There are two major command board styles: those with MLM boards that plug in over the microprocessor, and those without separate MLM boards, usually known as E-series, and commonly used on 900 MHz radios. Naturally, the board layouts and schematics are completely different.
