desktrac base into repeater

Post by FF/EMT/KC2NFB »

i have a desktrac m/n L44SUM70D0B. what would i need to do to make this into a repeater.

i have read that the repeater ver. of the descktrac has a maxtrac without the PA. if you remove the PA how do you get power to the radio?

thanks

The receiver is powered thru the front connector and cable to the interface board.

You will need: the interface to radio cable 0198213606
the radio RF connector to antenna jack cable 0102712C47
the two mounting brackets, and screws

ok. is the board in the BASE the same as the RPTR ver.? i would prob. say no. from what i can see there is no place to plug in the RX radio.

next

is the interface to radio cable available?

i can make my own ant. cable.

thanks

The Front Panel Board should be the same.

I usally make my own cable from the FPB to the second receiver. However I did not use the plugin on the FPB, soldered cable direct to the FPB.
