License plate and bumper antennas

Does anyone have any experience with these type of antennas on VHF,UHF,or 800mhz bands? I am looking at trying these out but can't find anyone I know that has used them. These have a pretty good price tag on them so any input on this would be helpful.--Thanks

One of my friend had the license plate antenna, it work good on RX and TX, only downside though was on the TX, it was really directional on where your car was facing toward.
