I was just wondering if Motorola has a Mobile with an option 600Ohm 4wire board?

I've been searching for a cost effective way to link 2 quantars together using the 4 wire circuits. With the type of installtion I have using the quantars 4 wire circuit is the only way I can make it work. I see that TAIT has a mobile with an optional 4wire interface, just wondering if any moto mobiles have the same.

I doubt it. I do know that several companies make tone remote control units that plug into mobile radios, but they're probably 2-wire. Check Gai-tronics. Maybe their products can be configured either way.

Many of Motorola's mobile radios have a microphone input impedance around 600 ohms, but there's DC on it, to power preamps in the mikes. There's probably no reason why you couldn't use a couple of 600:600 ohm transformers to deal with the input and output. Of course, control would be another matter, but you could get creative.

CPI (http://www.cpicomm.com/) makes 4 wire tone termination panels, the TTP(N) series.

yeah thats my thread and it works been up for a while now. there is an application in the applications section of the service manual detailing how to interface 2 quantars together

Looks like I'll be using CPI panel with moto, or the TAIT. The cunstomer will be the decision maker.
