are you speaking of sending the tones or receiving them? What is the model number of the radio in question? What paging format?

sheesh....after running it thru my de-obfuscator, i think you want to know what radios will receive two tone decode (Quik Call II) over UHF frequencies. If you are looking for a selective decode of certain depts, then you will need a radio that can decode them and open squelch on those frequencies...such as the HT750/1250/1550 series, the CDMs will also, as well as the GP series radios.

If you are looking for any & all calls on the channels, then you can use any UHF radio or Scanner to listen to the frequencies, if you are looking for a select few (as long as you know the tone sets and groups) then you need a radio that is capable of Quik Call decoding..

Landon, like I said to you on RadioReference...

Your HT1000 should be capable of receiving them/alerting on them just fine I belive.

FWIW, Landon is a regular on the RadioReference.com forums, where his posts range from wanting amber lights on his brother's catering truck to so-called "rookie" stories and which cop car is cooler...etc...

This QCII post is only the latest in a series of off-the-wall requests from the (self-admitted juvie) psuedo-whacker from the left coast.

Take his posts with a grain of salt, shot of Jack and 2 Advil.

and its kind of intresting to here other peoples first messup / call while they were a firefighter or police officer. Maybe you dont think they are that intresting or anything, but i think that police officers and firefighters are pretty cool, which is why im going to be one once i am done with explorers and the academy.

Or maybe you are just jealous you are not a firefighter / highly ranked person out there.

If you are not going to put something usefull into this thread, they dont reply.

You haven't provided anything useful on 3 seperate websites, so don't lecture me about useful posts.

You have no idea what I do or who I do it for, so before you start tooting your own pre-teen horn about what you are going to be when you grow up maybe you better take a step back and realize this isn't MySpace.com and you are dealing with adults here.

I have to agree with jmr3865, I think you have to an HT1000 that was a "C" or "D" model. I think the "A" & "B" model were pretty basic and didn't even do 12.5 KHz. I'll have to read some of my old HT1000's to verify. If you are interested in the resluts please let me know.
