Radio Call boxes

I'm trying to source an enclosure-only to place a Motorola radio into...similar to this:
It doesn't have to be yellow, and it doesn't have to have emergency written on it. I'm just looking for a similar form factor...open face with basic speaker grill & large PTT button to wire into the radio.
I've found lots of info for the Motorola & Gaitronics call boxes with built-in radios, but I'm just looking for the housings. Anyone found a source?

There is a Motorola MSS in SE Florida (around Sunrise) that makes an item like this. They were using SP50's and GP300's a few years back inside these. I can't recall the name of the shop but if you have a list of service shops in SE Florida, (I believe Broward County) the name would likely jog my memory.

Well, I cannot find a dealer listing within Motorola...I doubt they even know who currently is/isn't a dealer with any sort of accuracy. However, I find Globalstar dealers are generally also Motorola dealers...so here's a listing of them for Florida. See if they ring a bell:

Todd,
Try Ward’s Marine Electric in Ft. Lauderdale, FL 954.523.2815. They have custom fabbed a bunch of outdoor enclosures for me from stock enclosures.
BTW, for the pushbutton, I would use a Square D Class 9001 Type K, SK-30 mm pushbutton. It can be loaded with contact block to directly emulate the PTT switching

No luck on the list Todd. Thought being in the network you'd have an easy reference of MSS's but I'm gathering it's not that simple. I'll dig around and see if I can come up with a receipt or something from them.

Maybe Call24?
http://www.call24wireless.com
They have a cabinet with speaker and PTT/call button, a radio (used to be motorola then kenwood then ritron) and an interface board to run the light timer and any logical functions.

I like the form factor of their housings. I wonder if they'll sell them without the electronics in them? I've got a few irons in the fire now. Thanks for the replies guys.

Try Allen-Tel...

Wavetar, Give Allen Tel a try. They specialize in oddball telephone enclosures, including emergency boxes, rackmounts, etc.

Their prices are actually quite reasonable for what they offer. Graybar Electric is a full-line Allen Tel distributor, and can special order practically anything you may need.
Happy hunting.

Yeah, AllenTel is actually where I got the picture from in my initial post. The problem with them is they only seem to sell complete units w/telephones already installed. I don't want to spend $600+ and have to gut the thing, when I just need the enclosure. I did send an email to them, as well as Viking, asking if I could get just the enclosure. We'll see if they get back to me.
We've also got a Graybar depot here. I've already printed pics of several housings that meet my requirements, and will be visiting them Monday to see what they can find for me.
Thanks for the tips.

This guy's got a few up on eBay. Here's a link to one of them, but looks like they include the 460-470 Mhz radio...
