saber programming

hi.

i curntly do some programing of saber 1, 2 and 3.

i have ben gating a cople of saber 1's and 2's that i canot read nor right to the radio using the motorola rss. the radios in question work fine. sugesting that they were programed with a questionable program. thinking it was my setup i tryd my sabers on it. (sabers 1's and 3's) and it read and rote fine.

im not shore what to do if i get any more of theas radios in that i canot read nor right to is there a way to bring them back to the motorola programing. were the rss can read and right to it.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here as say that you are trying to program Systems Saber radios with regular Saber RSS. I came to this conclusion due to your other post about trunking Spectras.

If they are Systems Sabers (trunking radios), then you'll need Systems Saber RSS.

i have the systems saber rss.

and acording to motorola and my own experience it will work on all sabers. :-?

the other thing as far as the radios i can not read nor right to i dont bleive that there trunked there just conventional.

System saber RSS and regular Saber RSS are not at all compatable. The easy way to brick a saber is to use systems on a regular or vise versa. The the latest release of saber Rss is 07.01 from 1995.

If you have done this you will be the first person I have ever heard of....

These are simply different radios with RSS that is much different.

The Sytems Saber, Saber, Astro Saber, and Saber SI are all very different radios although they share a similar design....
