global tuner

Post by awitt101 »

I have a newbie question. could someone explain what global tuner does. Am having a bit of trouble understanding exactly what it does and what is necessary to be done with it. having programmed a few cm200 radios they seem and sound to be working fine to me.

btw. thanks for this board. I've relied heavily on it for the past couple of weeks.

Global Tuner is used for aligning the Pro and Commercial series radios, generally unless there's something wrong with the radio you shouldn't need to use it.

Hi Awitt101,

I have similar factor with what you have programmed, so it make my courious to ask you about it.

When you programmed CM200 are you used CPS or RSS? Coz I have trouble with CM160, they were cound't read by CPS R 02.04? I using the RLN4008B and RKN4081B. It always fail again and again and its make dizzy when we pushed to care of something that come to dead end.
So if you have seen the radio type, might be you can compare and share me what is the similarity n diffirences between CM200 - CM160?

Bravo for Awitt101 for CM200,maybe Mr.Jackhacket or anybody else have been handle this kind of radio.
Ok Guy waiting the response

well the first thing that comes to mind is that the RKN4081B is a ribless cable and I wonder if it would work when connected to a rib which is what part number RLN4008B is. and to answer your question I use cps 05.05. I don't know anything at all about cm160 however but I've used this wonderful discussion board for the past couple of weeks and I would guess if you use the search funtcion on this board that you will find much information to digest about your radio. Perhaps a google search would help out a little as well. I did find 1 link you might find helpful http://www.irsradio.co.uk/products/motorola/CM160.htm Also I used RKN4081b with adapter FKN8096A, it may or may not work for you good luck.
