Hi Erick,
The Syntor X9000 was replaced by the Spectra, which was replaced by Astro Spectra, then Astro Spectra Plus then today's XTL5000, which is the only one of this series still available new.
All were/are Motorola's "top of the line" mobile radios.

What about low-band (high-power, 30-50 mhz, programmable)?

That Maratrac basically replaced it as a high tier radio, though I think the Maratarc and X9000 were sold concurrently. However, the Maratrac was discontiuned not that long ago. However, unlike the X9000 that Maratrac was offered in three lowband splits:
29.7 -35.995
36-41.995
42-50
Kinda sucks that no one has ever produced a wide split radio since the x9000. Best you can get is a MA/COM Orion at 35-50 and 29-42?.
Anyone know the reason behind this?
