HT1250 Question

I just got an HT1250 and have a question about something it does. When I release the PTT button, a tone goes over the air signaling end of transmission. My local PD and Fire and EMS use it as well. What is this tone called? I plan to get my HT1250 reprogrammed and would like to use this tone. Does the Maxtrac 100 also have the ability to do this? Any info would be nice. Thanks!

It is more than likely MDC1200 POST PTT ID going out. It sends a "unit" id at the end of the transmission.
Some maxtracs are capable of this.

Or it could be reverse burst....the default programming options leave this enabled unless it's specifically disabled when the unit's programmed. The Maxtracs will not send reverse burst without an addon board(reverse burst wasn't in common use when most of the Maxtracs were designed/built).

Reverse burst isn't something that is heard...it's still a sub-audible PL tone...just out of phase.
