ASTRO Saber MDC PTT ID

What's involved in getting MDC PTT IDs to show up on an ASTRO Saber?

I've enabled MDC on all the personalities I want to see IDs on, and enabled PTT ID display under Display Options. Nothing's showing up, though.

Anything else I need to do?

I've got the following AS3:

HOST R07.25.00
DSP I08.03.03
H04RDH9PW7AN

590008-040600-2

Q806/G806 APCO 25 Digital CAI/IMBE Operation
H14/G114 Digital ID Display
H101/G101/H169 Analog/Conventional Only Repeater Access (MDC1200/Singletone)
H868/W298 Hardware Multikey Operation & MDC OTAR (Analog/Conventional)
H38/G51 SmartZone Operation
Q352/G352 Soft ID
Q387/G387 Conventional Voting Scan
Q173/G173 SmartZone OmniLink Operation

Cheers

Atleast on an MTS2000, I know i needed the Q181 MDC StatAlert, in order to do live decode of MDC, not sure if its the same on an AS, hopefully this helps.

Digital ID is all you need to decode for the Astro line.

Did you enable MDC decode (Call Alert) in each personalities?

You definitely have the right MDC system set up on the personalities? That's what kept some of mine from showing up right.

I assume you're not scanning, and that the signal is strong?

Also check to see what the MDC hangtime (display) is. If its 0 or 1, it will comes across pretty quick and disappear.

Other than that, I would say its a simple oversight.

End of Voice Timer was set to 0. Increasing that caused the IDs to show, but they only appear for about half a second. Temporary and Alternate Display Time don't seem to affect ID display. Where's the display hangtime setting in RSS?

In CPS its under the MDC system. Cant think of exactly what its called right now but its there.

but maybe you have found it by now since the last post was a few days ago.

Is this by chance post MDC ID via repeater?

I believe it's a bug in the firmware.

If you have an older/newer firmware - you'll notice that the problem is fixed.

I believe this is one thing that is also addressed in the Rebanding firmware...

Still having no luck. I've got access to a machine with CPS 5 now, and I haven't found it there either. Just the usual stuff like pretime.

Solved.

Jason took a look at my codeplug, and suggest turning the MDC DOS Coast Time down to zero. Works great now.
