codeplug question

Post by eweiner2 »

Hello -

I have an XTS 3000 that started as a type II and is now a type III but when it's read in CPS, it still sees it as a type II radio. The DTMF keypad beeps the same way is does if you have the keypad lock on. Is there somewhere I have to go in the codeplug and manually edit the model number?

Thanks!

What radios do you own?: X9000 thru APX

You need to have a model 3 codeplug in there to make the buttons work. If you do a search about codeplug forcing in the fourm, you will see what you need to do. You need the right software that is not available to the public and willing to possibly kill your radio.

Do not ask for the software here.

I know not to ask for software, and I already have lab tools and hex editors...I'll do a little searching.

Thanks!
