Anyone going to the Ham Radio University thing this sunday at Briarcliffe college?
If you want info I have the flyer in front of me.
Im going to take my test, I am curious to see if any labbers wil be there.
Ill be walking around with an MTS2000 model 3 and a pager.

Thanks for the reminder, I want to take my Extra license long ago but not sure if 3 days of studying is gonna help

Which Briarcliffe? Cuz, there are 2 on LI, one in Bethpage, one in Patchouge.

Thanks kb0nly, if that was for me...
Its in bethpage. The talk in freq, according to the flyer is 146.85(136.5)
But Ill be on GMRS... Since im not liscensed yet.

If you studied for it i was going to say "take the general written too" and be ready for the CW drop in a month.

I agree. The tech and general exam is a piece of cake. Extra test needs a bit of studying if you start out from scratch (like me) but nothing too bad.
I will see you at the test then.

just an FYI, i passed my test and my call showed up to day, KC2QPZ...
dxon2m passed his extra i believe...

Congrats!
We had a testing session here yesterday, i took my General for the heck of it, no problem with that, passed it easy.
If i had a little more time to prepare i would have taken the Extra too, will do that in March at the next session.
Now they just need to get the CW requirement officially dropped.
