astro ready

Post by fire_master_21 »

I got a deal on a xts5000 and astro spectra that are both astro ready. What would be a ball park price on bringing these up to IMBE. Can a MSS do it or must these be shipped to mexico?

A MSS can upgrade the radios, they would need to order a FLASHport upgrade kit.

You sure they do not already support Astro because if they do not only have to have the Astro Spectras and XTS5000s reprogrammed?

Recover the FLASHcode it would be printed on the radio label or can be found by putting the Astro Spectra and XTS5000 in test mode.

There is a flashcode decoder posted here....

The Astro Spectra you need G806 IMBE Digital CAI Operation.
The XTS5000 requires Q808AG IMBE Digital CAI Operation.
