Hello All,
I just programmed our fire chiefs radio and I get the following error message when I open the code plug"Error In Call List: Wrong Signaling Type". When when I go to save the code plug i get the following message "Invalid Signaling Type in DB" I am assuming they are both related to the same problem. Can someone tell me what the problem might be, I could not seem to find it. I can send a copy of the codeplug if that is necessary.

Thanks,
JC

JC,

Ran into the same problem about a month or two ago while programming some EX500/600 portables with an MDC call list of about 90 units. Got the same messages but no invalid fields showed up. Customer has been using the units for a while and haven't had any complaints. I couldn't find what the issue was either.

Yeah the codeplug works fine, I have it in a radio with no problems. I did take the codeplug from another radio and edited it some for this radio. I thought something there is what was causing the error message. I'll let you know what I find out. A gentleman agreed to look over the codeplug for me since I couldn't find anything wrong.

it's possible the radio you got the codeplug from has newer firmware than the radio you put the codeplug into?

very. The one I got the codeplug from is only about a year old, lists April of 06. Other one lists Jan of 01.

I occasionally get an error message referencing the MDC Call list when I try to open a certain code plug.

I can't find anything wrong in the alias list, etc. And I can always just reread the code plug from the radio without incident. Never any consistency as to when it happens, rarely and randomly.

*shrug*
