I have a radio that I want to disable the TX function of the radio. I looked in the CPS but couldnt find something to that affect for the trunking side. I know that you can do it for the conventional side.

If anyone can shed some light in the matter please get back to me either here or email [email protected]

Thanks.

You can't. You need to do a hardware mod and chop the PTT plunger. There's unfortuatly no way to do it like you can on others.

There i one way to minimize the 'risk', and that is by programmin the radio to the absolute lowest power level....'ZERO'.

Or, as Bellersley stated, remove the B+ led to the RF PA by desoldering that pin.

Doing the above requires heat shrink on that lead so it will not touch any other circuit or component and cause more troubles.

Or you could do a more permanent approach of using wire cutters to clip the pin after its desoldered.
