Guys,

I am looking to flash some new firmware into my CDM1250's and 1550's. I just bought the AARKN4081B Ribles Cable for Programming and Flashing these radios. Do I need another part here? I thought to flash these radios, you need to hook into the 20 pin connector in the back of the cdm's.

Thanks in advance.....

i've heard people say they do it thru the rj45 but i use the 20 pin on the back and it works perfect every time. you also need the flash adaptor hln9742 but i've never used it with the ribless cable, i put it between the rib and cable to the 20 pin.

There is an RLN4853 adapter that adapts the mic jack programming cable to the 20 pin accessory connector for firmwre upgrades and programming.

One note on the adapter- It does not come with a wire to pin 10 for ignition sense. I always add one, otherwise dealing with radios programmed for ignition sense is a real PITA.

CDM 1550LS+ can be flashed by using the ribless cable and grounding pin 18 of the Acc connector when instructed to "move the switch".
