XTS3000 new LCD displays nothing

Post by dxon2m »

I just replaced damaged LCD (with flex) today with a brand new one from Motorola, part no. 5185633C42. I made sure everything was plugged in, and when I power up the radio. I see nothing on the display. But when I press the light button, the LCD lights up accordingly.

Did anyone have the same problem as I do? Did I get a "lemon" from /\/\ or what? :(

Thanks
Dennis

What radios do you own?: X9000 thru APX

I haven't played with the 3K displays, but have you checked to see if there is a contrast pot (aka Astro Saber style)?

Not without messing with the back end system.

Just follow the link above to continue discussion.
