WTD Visar UHF "R" split DTMF codeplug

Post by N9LLO »

Need a 403-470 Visar DTMF codeplug. I have a Visar that still works
(amazing isn't it?) and recased it with a DTMF front. Need a codeplug to activate the keypad.

Bump

Still looking for this codeplug. I know Visars are not well liked by the Batlabs crowd but this one still works and I need a pocket radio at times.

Can someone please help?

You have to do it with visarlab.Another way is to change the modelnumber, with a hexeditor and correct the checksum. After this, you can program the codeplug with mtsx-lab (read/write with no pack/unpack) in the radio.

Visarlab? Never heard of that. I have HT1000 lab. I tried doing some HEX editing on the codeplug as outlined on the Batlabs model specific page to enable the DTMF pad but no luck. All I need is the right codeplug to force in.

HT1000 Lab should work with the Visar and JT if I'm not mistaken.

Conventional Visars, yes. JT1000s, no. In fact, you stand a fair chance of bricking your JT if you try writing to it.

I really would like to get this Visar going, sometimes I need a shirt pocket radio.

I am pleading and begging for a R split (403-470) Visar DTMF codeplug.

Only a different codeplug don´t do the job.You can only do this with HT1000/Visarlab or read the radio with MTSX-Lab(no pack/unpack),save the codeplug, edit it with a hexeditor (modelnumber),correct the checksum and write the codeplug back (no pack/unpack)with MTSX-Lab.

My "S" split DTMF Visar is an H05SDH9AA7DN (I think).

So make that H05RDH9AA7DN and it should work.

I always thought that you couldn't change anything in a Jedi radio codeplug without screwing it up because of all of the different checksums calculated at different places in the file. If you get this to work, I'll be interested in hearing about it.

I think I offered you my "S" split codeplug before; if you get really desperate, the offer is still there.
