Dear All,

I am a new guy, I want to ask about MSF5000 CXB version, this is digital version, can this type repeater using in non digital mode?

digital was really a bit of an exaggeration. I think it was more the design was digital with a proccessor.

No it could do digital paging and securenet as well as obviously run as a control channel but it its primary use is for analog

To elaborate a little bit on Bruce's accurate statement, the MSF 5000 CXB "Digital Capable" stations refer to the fact that they can be equipped to support 12kb SECURENET digital encryption. The station in clear mode (non-secure) is nothing more than a normal analog base station/repeater.

This was the first in the MSF series that was PC programmable. The "Analog Plus" units (CLB) are of course EEPROM programmable using the R1801 Communications Analyzer.
