Need some advice

I have a mts2000 mod #H01KDH9PW1BN

Upon power up it does not say "self test" like my other one..it says "
DHB/BT Default"....

When I press 3rd button on side I get a tone and display says "calling" so I am not able to get ver number.

My problem is rss 6.07 will not read this....code plug too new....

mts2000 will not read this either... I get the following errors:
1. Reading model number failed
2. Model number unsupported.

How about some ideas.....thanks

Try pressing the button 5 times in rapid succession

It may have been programmed with CPS instead of RSS in which case you need CPS software.

I don't know what you have, but it sounds like someone's stuck something in an MTS2000 case. The error message you're receiving on read is NOT indicative of the radio being written with later RSS/CPS (that would get a Version Too New indication), but rather that the model number isn't supported by the software package you have.

The "Calling" is interesting too... I've never seen that display on an MTS.

Try the five-punch trick, see if it works. If not, some disassembly might be in order.

Tried the 5 punch on the 3rd,2nd,and 1st button.....no results as to ver.

Further info... with Lab it connects to the radio, appears
to download the plug info then stops while validating codeplug data
" (block type error) An unrecoverable error has occurred. Processing can not continue"

I am able to read other mt2000 with 607 and lab...the mcs2000 gets the same message on the mt2000...I expected that as it is an older radio which I was sure was not supported by cps...

This new radio I got has me puzzled.

Maybe it has an MT2100 controller in it, or someone flashed it into a 2100 at some point..

Just a thought....

My thoughts exactly. Maybe Andreas or one of the other Euro guys will chime in.

The mystery has been solved......

M2100 reads the radio......

Now I need some real help, this software and some of the items on it are foreign to me....

I have been looking thru the menus and I don't find that DPL is supported, nor is QCII....

If anyone can lead me to a file (pdf) or something which explains the operation/programming I would really appreciate it.

Many thanks to the folks who have offered ideas already....

I assume you mean MT2100
Its the same as a GP900 with more channels and a top display

Lots of 5 tone stuff in there but there should be a PL
