Not trying to be wise, but are you sure your in the correct
DOS directory for the HT1000 program files?

Second question, are you sure that is the name of the
DOS executable file?

Most of the older RSS that is DOS based will not run under a
Windows "DOS" sub window. You need to be in a true DOS
operating system. In other words, you need to boot into
a DOS operating system on the computer.

When you type in a "command" from a DOS command line prompt, the operating system looks first for an .exe or .com file, and then for a .bat file, with that name, in the current directory and then in any other directory included in a PATH environment statement.

Assuming you have the HT1000 software in a given directory, change the default directory (using the CD command) to that directory and do a DIR command. This will list the files and show you the names of the .exe files. One of them should be ht1000.exe. If so, type in ht1000 and press enter and the program, assuming properly installed, will run.

if you installed it from the factory floppy then just start the computer in dos and at the c: just type ht1000 and it will go right to it.

I am in true dos. I type in ht1000 and it does not work. I used the same disk that I loaded the other computer with and it worked in that one. problem is I lost the instructions on how to load the program however. I will try the exe suggestions thanks to all!!

I believe the factory install creates a directory called "MRSS" and installs there by default. To get to it try "C:\mrss\ht1000\ht1000.exe".
