Just curious to see what the preference of everyone here is. Its been said that the HT1000 is one of the best portable radios every designed. What about the MT2000? They look almost identical but what i like about the MT2000 is the addition of the alphanumeric display. But what else does this radio has to offer? I'm in the market for a UHF radio and am looking for some guidence. Thanks ahead of time!

Additionally, simply taking the time to read through some of the HT1000 and MT/S2000 threads should reveal a lot of information on the radios themselves. Including problems, programing, capabilities, etc.
